I'm a consultant Family medicine and palliative medicine working in palliative care center having my certificate in family medicine on 2007 and Work for 5 Years in Qurtuba clinic as a family physician and opened my first obesity clinic ,during this time I was also a certified trainer and examiner in family medicine residency program.In2012 I decided to join Palliative care center to continue my fellowship I read a lot about palliative care and I noticed that the need for palliative care in Kuwait is huge and I noticed that nobody specialize in this field in Kuwait .I started my fellowship program in January 2013 in King Faisal specialized hospital and research center which gives me a great educational experience, meanwhile I started my first research in palliative medicine. I proceeded to work in a fast upscale environment in Kuwait to ensure patient comfort and relieve their suffering. when I came back to Kuwait there were a lots of challenges waiting for me and I was full of power and passion to start palliative medicine in Kuwait , great team supported me and I inspired and encouraged them to learn, to give, to help and to believe in themselves .

Dr. Amna Al-Harrasi is a dedicated and compassionate medical doctor with specialized expertise in family medicine, palliative care, and cancer pain management. She currently leads the Supportive and Palliative Care Department at the Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Center in Oman, where she is instrumental in developing and implementing palliative care programs that focus on improving the quality of life for terminally ill Cancer patients. Dr. Al-Harrasi is highly committed to patient-centered, holistic care, and actively collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for patients and their families. A graduate of Sultan Qaboos University, Dr. Al-Harrasi completed her Cancer Pain Fellowship and Palliative Care Residency at McGill University in Canada. Her extensive experience also includes serving as a Family Physician with the Ministry of Health in Oman, where she managed chronic illnesses and coordinated care for a diverse patient population. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Al-Harrasi holds several leadership roles, including Chairperson of the Morbidity and Mortality Committee at her institution. She has contributed significantly to the field through publications on cancer care, medical cannabis, and supportive oncology, among other topics.

Dr. Abusanad completed medical oncology and a Clinician-investigator fellowships from McGill University, focused on breast oncology along with a MSc in experimental medicine of molecular oncology. She is a recipient of a national prize for innovative approach in supporting breast cancer survivors. She has been recognized by ASCO for 2 consecutive years as one of the authors of the best of ASCO connections blogs. She led the largest multinational study addressing burnout in oncology professionals across MENA. Her scientific research include clinical breast cancer, molecular oncology, cancer survivorship, oncologist’s wellbeing and narrative medicine. She is a volunteer in several breast cancer social and patient’s advocacy forms and a speaker at TED talks.

Dr Issa Mohamad is a consultant radiation oncologist and associate member at King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) in Jordan. He completed radiation oncology clinical/research fellowship from University of Toronto, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. He is currently the lead of the Head and Neck multidisciplinary team and the director of radiation oncology fellowship program at KHCC. His areas of subspecialty expertise include Head and Neck cancer, GI malignancy and extracranial stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT). His research focus is aligned with his training and is centered on the implementation of new radiation therapy technologies and quality improvement in the radiation oncology field.

She specializes in advanced radiation and brachytherapy treatments, particularly for breast cancer, gynecological cancers, lymphomas, and rare tumors. Dr. Khadiga holds an MBBS from Gezira Medical School, an MMedRadOnc from the University of Cape Town, and is a Fellow of the College of Radiation Oncology of South Africa. She is actively involved in research and international collaborations, holding leadership roles in various professional groups, including IAEA/RANZCR, GOROG, ESTRO, ABG, and ABS.

After completion of basic training in Pakistan at the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKU), he obtained FRCS in 2000 and FEBU in 2003. He was awarded the society international urologie (SIU) fellowship in 2003. In 2005, he was selected by Society of Endourology to do a fellowship at Duke University, USA. Later he also completed society of urologic oncology (SUO) recognized fellowship at Western University, Canada. Currently he is working as Senior Consultant urologist at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital with main interest in urologic oncology. He has more than 50 peer reviewed publication, 10 book chapters and 4 research grants. He has presented research papers in almost all major urological conference. He has also contributed to some large industry sponsored clinical trials and has received more than 75000 USD in research grants.

She graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2008. She received her Masters of science in Cancer Therapeutics with Honours from Barts Cancer Institute-Queen Mary University and post graduate certification in Translational oncology and clinical research from University College Dublin . She completed her postgraduate training in the Republic of Ireland and breast cancer specialisation by Ulm University. She has participated in many national and international meetings.

Mansoor Khan is currently working as Senior Clinical Pharmacist covering Oncology/Hematology/BMT at Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, Jeddah for the last 18 years. He obtained his American BPS certification in Oncology (BCOP) in 2010 and recertification in 2017. He is a keen member of important committees in the hospital including P&T Committee and his Oncology formulary management recommendations have significant cost-effective impact in MNGHA. He implemented value assessment tools in oncology formulary management at MNGHA to ensure the clinical meaningfulness of new therapies. He has established Oncology stewardship program at MNGHA which has reduced financial toxicities significantly. He has been instrumental in mass awareness and implementation of oncology biosimilars in oncology practice which has resulted in expanded access to the oncology care nationwide. He is heavily involved in teaching, students, residents and fellows from both pharmacy and medical disciplines in the hospital as well as in the university. He has also been heavily involved in the research and has published more than 30 papers in peer reviewed journals and has published few books and book chapters with international collaboration. He recently published a book on Fast Facts: Biosimilars A Global Perspective as co-author published by Karger Publishers Ltd 2024 in UK and was launched in ESMO 2024 in Barcelona, Spain. Prof. Mubarak Al Mansour is currently the Chairman of the Oncology Department and Consultant, Adult Medical Oncology at the Princess Norah Oncology Center, King Abdulaziz Medical City, Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, Jeddah, KSA. He has held this position since February 2022 and is responsible for managing and monitoring the day-to-day clinical, administrative, and activities of the department. He oversees and provides supervision of the staff members to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the department. Prior to his current role, Prof. Al Mansour was the Section Head of Adult Medical Oncology from 2006 until February 2022. He is also a Consultant in Adult Medical Oncology, providing direct patient care including ward rounds, clinics, and on-calls. In this capacity, he prescribes and administers medications, directs chemotherapy treatment plans, and coordinates all planned and concurrent oncology therapy.
