Dr Selvaraj Giridharan is a highly skilled and experienced oncologist with dual accreditation from the UK. He completed his Bachelor’s Medical degree from the University of Madras in 1993 and went on to continue his training in the UK, he became a member of Royal college of Physicians in 1998 and then achieved clinical oncology Fellowship in 2004. He worked as a consultant clinical oncologist in University Hospitals of North Midlands from 2004 to 2022 until his appointment to Tawam Hospitals in September this year. During his time in Stoke he held several additional roles including being services lead, audit lead, research lead, appraiser and clinical tutor. He has published extensively and has been a PI and SI for more than 30 clinical trials.

Dr Husam Marashi is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at the Tawam Hospital. He underwent post graduate training at the West of Scotland hospitals and became a consultant in 2015. He developed a special interest in the non-surgical management of Upper gastro-intestinal and Breast malignancies including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy. He is a principle investigator for many clinical trials and involved in many precision medicine programmes. He is also an active member of the oligometastasis SABR radiotherapy team. Dr Marashi has an active role in medical education/training for clinical oncology trainees in Scotland, and a member of RCR recruitment team. He is a member of the breast cancer MCN advisory board for the West of Scotland. Dr Aftab A Bhatti graduated from the University of Punjab, Rawalpindi Medical College, Pakistan. He completed his higher urological training from the Northern Deanery, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Dr Aftab Bhatti has published over 40 peer reviewed publications and his area of research interest includes kidney and prostate cancer. the area of his interest includes active surveillance for the low risk prostate cancer, surgical anatomy of prostate, refinements to surgical techniques for robotic assisted radical prostatectomy and surgical outcomes of the high risk prostate cancer and prognostic markers for the kidney cancer.

Dr Edward Black graduated from Guy’s Medical School, London in 1992. He trained in Cardiothoracic Surgery in Oxford, Leicester, Nottingham, Sheffield and Edinburgh. He was awarded Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Cardiothoracic Surgery in 2005. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery. He was appointed Consultant Thoracic Surgeon in Nottingham University Hospitals in 2006, Oxford University Hospitals in 2009 and SEHA in 2014. He currently works in SEHA-Mayo Clinic joint venture at SSMC Abu Dhabi and is Associate Professor at Khalifa University Medical School Abu Dhabi. He is Vice President of the Thoracic Surgery Group of the Emirates Respiratory Society.

Dr. Lina Wahba is a clinical pharmacy lead and she also works as an adjunct lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University. She earned her BSc in Pharmacy from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Jordan University of Science and Technology-Jordan, then had her MSc degree in Clinical Pharmacy from UCL, school of pharmacy/UK. She conducted her clinical training at Barts’ and the London NHS hospital trust-London. Lina is board certified oncology pharmacist. She maintains a primary clinical practice in Tawam oncology unit, and leading the Medication use evaluation committees. Lina has been having a major role in optimizing patient care in addition to creating and updating the oncology protocols. During her career, Lina worked as a clinical pharmacist in different institutions. She established the clinical pharmacy services in the paediatric oncology ward at King Hussein cancer centre- Amman/Jordan. She has many publications in addition to different abstracts that had been presented in the UK clinical pharmacy association conference, the American Society of Health System Pharmacists association (ASHP), Emirates Oncology Conference, and in the Journal of Oncology Pharmacy Practice (JOPP). Finally, Lina is the principal pharmacist in a number of Phase III multinational RCTs which are involving investigational chemotherapeutic and targeted agents.

He is a member of the United European Gastro enterology scientific committee as a representative of the EAES (European Association for Endoscopic Surgery). Dr Shayan Ansari is a Head & Neck / ENT surgeon who has worked in University Hospital Crosshouse, West of Scotland. He has experience of working in Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Neurosurgery before embarking on ENT / Head & Neck surgical training in UK (CCST, UK). Dr Ansari has worked in various academic and clinical units in different ENT subspecialities especially Head & Neck Surgical Oncology. This includes working in Head & Neck unit in Groote Schuur Hospital, Cape Town South Africa with Prof Fagan. His practice includes general ENT with special interest in benign and malignant head & neck pathologies. His head and neck surgical interest is mainly in organ preservation surgeries but also specialises in advance resections for salvage and palliative purposes. "Taif S. Al Sarraj, Ph.D., M.Sc., RD., is the Chief of Clinical Support Services for three major hospitals (Tawam, AlAin, and AlWagan hospitals) within the AlAin Region of the Emirate of Abu-Dhabi. Previously served as Deputy COO at Shaikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the UAE University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr Taif Al Sarraj has 25 years of extensive experience in healthcare leadership, operation, and performance management. In addition to quality and patient safety, JCI accreditation, and disasters' incident commanding. On the other hand, she has experience in clinical researches, academic education, continues clinical education, national and international conferences organization and participation, health education and public health awareness and contribution through community out-reach activities, awareness lectures, and media interviews via national media programs. Dr Al Sarraj is a Fellow Candidate of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). She had successfully led and manage the clinical support services as well as hospital operation activities throughout her leadership and rotation experience across SEHA hospitals. She participated in COVID-19 pandemic's disaster management, commissioning of MBZ field hospitals, and AD Covid-19 designated hospital. Dr Al Sarraj is the recipient of The Abu Dhabi Medical Distinguish Award (Department of Health - 2011); The SEHA Nursing & Allied Health leadership Award (SEHA in 2013); The Emirates Women Award (Dubai Quality Group in 2012), The UAE Rare Diseases Society Excellence Award (UAE Genetic Diseases Association 2017); The Shaikh Rashid Award for Academic Superiority (The UAE Culture & Scientific Association, twice in 2011 and 1997); Dr. Robert G. Jensen Award for Excellent Research in Nutritional Sciences (University of Connecticut 2009). In 2020, Dr. AlSarraj was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award by the University of Connecticut, College of AHNR, for her distinguished contributions to the Healthcare sector in UAE. Dr. AlSarraj excelled in clinical nutrition. Her research interests are in the area of pathophysiology of metabolic syndrome, and diabetes complications, glucose and lipid metabolism, inflammation markers and vascular complications.
